Dates Confirmed for Newlands Hill Public Local Inquiry
The Pre-Examination Meeting (PEM) to start the Newlands Hill PLI process took place on Friday 6th March, and the Reporters note is now available on the DPEA portal here.
The PLI oral sessions (in-person Inquiries and Hearings) will take place in the week commencing 12th October 2026, in the local area. The sessions will include an Inquiry relating to Landscape and Visual matters and a Community Hearing session where local residents who have opted in to the PLI process can present their views.
The PLI process is expected to conclude in early November 2026 and the Reporter will then draft a Report and recommendation to go to Ministers, with a decision expected in 2027.
