Accessibility Statement

Belltown Power is committed to making it's website accessible.

This accessibility statement applies to the Belltown Power’s website at www.belltownpower.co.uk.

This website was launched in September 2025 and was set up in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to be compliant with AA standards.

This website is run by the Belltown Power. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. In addition to the site’s code being WCAG 2.1 AA compliant, users should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (tested using ChromeVox).

We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

  • Some of the images require more descriptive alt text, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information fully. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content). We are working to resolve this and in the meantime users can contact us to request a full description of the images. When we publish new content, we will make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
