Belltown is an established and entrepreneurial clean energy company at the leading edge of project development in the UK. We were founded in 2013 by a team of highly experienced renewable energy professional seeking to support a rapid transition away from fossil fuels toward clean, renewable energy sources and sustainable solutions across all sectors. In a world facing an unprecedented climate crisis, we are committed to being part of the solution.
Since 2013, we have built a strong track record across multiple renewable technologies in the UK. We have invested over £350m into constructing and managing a portfolio of over 20 wind, solar, hydro, and BESS projects. Our operational projects generate enough power to supply over 100,000 homes per year and offset hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO2 per year. Our community funds generate over £230,000 each year and support local community groups, initiatives, and projects.
We are developing an active pipeline of 1GW+ of onshore wind, solar PV and co-located energy storage hubs across the UK. To date, we have submitted ca. 700MW of greenfield onshore wind projects and 225MWdc of greenfield solar projects into planning. If all our hubs currently awaiting determination were consented and constructed, our projects would power close to 1 million homes and offset over 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year that would otherwise be pumped into our atmosphere [1].
In 2024, we founded Belltown RePower, a specialist development arm focused on repowering existing onshore windfarms that are reaching the end of their operational life.

Our development activities are funded by several funding partners. Our current UK development portfolio is funded by funds managed by Foresight Group, one of Europe's largest and most experienced sustainable infrastructure investors.
Since our inception in 2013, Belltown has supported the growth of renewable development in new markets and regenerative and sustainable farming practices.
We expanded into the United States in 2016 setting up Belltown Power USA, which focuses on the development of utility scale solar and BESS in Texas and the Midwest. Belltown USA has a track record of over 11GW of capacity delivered with a further pipeline of 4.5GW and has since expanded into the development of onshore wind and data centers.
Belltown Farms was established in 2019 and is committed to sustainable and regenerative agriculture in the United States. Belltown operates its regenerative organic farms under six core principles: Improve Long Term Soil Health, Develop Sustainable Food Systems, Support Local Communities, Drive Thought Leadership, Have Positive Environmental Impact, and Reduce Carbon Emissions. Belltown currently owns and operates farming hubs across the corn belt, Nebraska plains and the Texan delta.
Belltown Ventures was established in 2017 and has since invested almost $20m in renewable energy developers focused on non-UK geographies and on sustainable agriculture and food businesses operating adjacent to Belltown Farms activities.
